Dr. Sandeep Mehta
Dr. Sandip Mehta is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Director of JIET. Dr. Mehta has over 25 years of experience in academics, research, and industry. His industrial experience includes Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd. (Veraval, Gujarat) and Reliance Petroleum Ltd. (Jamnagar, Gujarat). His areas of interest include Electro-magnetic Field Theory, Electric and Electronics Engineering Materials, Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Soft Computing, and Image Processing. He has been the convener of several national conferences and organized several Workshops, Seminars, and Faculty Development Programs. He has been the Principal Investor in AICTE funded project of MODROBs (High Voltage Engineering) and CRS project (Standalone hybrid PV-FC power plant) worth Rs. 17.4 lakhs. Dr. Mehta has published over 36 research papers in reputed journals and conferences. He is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education and Institution of Engineers.
Prof. Dr. Avnish Bora
Dr. Avnish Bora is a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at JGI, Jodhpur, and Deputy Director. Dr. Bora has more than 16 years of teaching experience. He has conducted several training workshops and seminars in the field. Dr. Bora is a Life member of the Indian Society of Technical Education, Institute of Engineers(I) and is associated with academic bodies of the institution. His area of interest includes Speech Signal Processing, Soft Computing techniques, Data Science and IoT. Dr. Bora has published/presented technical papers in international journals and conferences, and he has also completed projects as principal Investigator and supervised M.Tech and B. Tech Project works.
Prof (Mrs) K.Punithalakshmi, M.Sc (N)
Principal, JIET College of Nursing, Jodhpur.
Prof. Mrs. K. Punithalakshmi has 26 years of experience in Nursing in Education and Clinicals. She graduated in the year 1994 with a B.Sc Nursing degree and did her Master's in OBG Nursing. She started her career as a staff Nurse and changed her profession from clinical to teaching due to her passion for being an Educator. She also has teaching experience abroad. She worked as a Faculty in the Department of Midwifery, College of Health Sciences, Debre Tabor University, Ethiopia. During that period, she has been a Chairperson for national conferences, a Member of the curricular Revising committee, an Examiner of the national level Qualification Examination, and a Member of Problem-Based Learning Training.
Professor (Chef) Subhasis Maiti
Professor (Chef) Subhasis Maiti (Ph.D., Pursuing) is a Tourism and Hospitality Professional, Skilled, dynamic, and visionary professional with 30 + years of high-impact experience in the field of higher education with private sector organizations with a proven record of accelerating the architecture and development of hospitality management programs.
Professor (Chef) Maiti is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Business
Management in Patna approved by Govt. of Bihar Education Department. He started his
professional journey in 1992 at OBEROI Tower MUMBAI, a five-star deluxe elite
property of East India Hotel Company Limited (Oberoi group of hotels). In his 12 years journey in this hotel, he was employed as a Chef in various cuisines like Indian, Continental, Mexican, and Italian.
Prof. Dr. A. M. Khan
He is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and IQAC coordinator at Jodhpur Institute of Engineering & Technology (Autonomous), Jodhpur. He has teaching experience of over 22 years and research experience of 15 years. He is Ph.D. in mathematics from Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, India. Dr. Khan has published over 40 research papers in various National and International journals of repute. He has presented 22 National and 15 International conference papers. He authored five books, including one international publication. Dr. Khan is a research supervisor at various universities in Rajasthan, including Bikaner Technical University, Bikaner Rajasthan, Poornima University Jaipur, and Pacific Academy of Higher Education & Research University Udaipur. He has guided 03 Ph.D. students so far. His areas of interest include Integral Transforms, Fractional Calculus, Special Functions, and Mathematical Modelling. He is a Lifetime member of various professional bodies, including the American Mathematical Society (USA), Indian Mathematical Society, India; Allahabad Mathematical Society, India; International Association of Engineers, Hong Kong; International Society of Research and Development, London, UK. Dr. Khan is a reviewer in various International journals, including Zentralblatt Mathematics (Germany), and Application & Applied Mathematics (USA).
Prof. Dr. Sanjay Gaur
Prof. Dr. Sanjay Gaur has 25+ years of teaching experience across various subjects in the ECE, CSE, and EEE fields. His areas of interest include digital signal processing, image processing, information theory, and coding. He has presented 20 National and 25 International conference papers. He has attended over 35 STTP programs at renowned institutions and conducted 21 training programs for faculty and students. And also taken expert sessions on topics such as Matlab, FPGA and CPLDs, and Raspberry Pi.
He gave 35 expert lectures outside JGI and 75 expert lectures inside JGI. Has published 22 papers in reputed journals and authored two books.Has served as HOD ECE, Vice Principal, and TPO at various engineering colleges. He is a Life Member of various professional organizations, including the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (India) and the Indian Society of Technical Education.
Prof. Dr. Vinit Mehta
He is presently working as Associate Professor and Dean in the Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Head (Mentoring) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at JIET Group of Institutions, Jodhpur. He has completed his Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical Engineering at MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur. His area of expertise is in the Thermal Modeling of Power Transformers, Electric Drives, and Power Systems. The areas of interest are Electrical Machines (AC and DC), Electrical Machine Design, Electric Drives, and their Control and Transmission & Distribution of Electric Power.
He has published more than 10 research papers in the International Journals and also presented research papers in more than 10 International Conferences. He has also attended more than 30 Workshops/ STTP/ FDP.
He coordinated the development of the virtual Lab at IIT Roorkee in the year 2024. Also, he has been awarded with the FIRST PRIZE for Dr. Muhammad Harunur Rashid Awards of Best Papers in an International Conference ICREU – 2020 organized at Coimbatore Institute of the Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He has also presented a research paper overseas (Dubai) in an International Conference in the year 2016.
Prof. Mamta Garg
Mamta Garg is a faculty member in the CSE Department at JIET Jodhpur, with an M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Rajasthan Technical University and a B.E. in CSE from Karnataka University, Dharwad. She has published research in AI, including a paper on "Convolutional Neural Networks with Transfer Learning for Recognition of COVID-19," in a reputed journal. With expertise in various programming languages and core subjects like Data Structures, Algorithms, AI, and Machine Learning, she has guided academic projects such as "Social-Distancing-Analyser" and "Why Connect - Social Media Website." Her teaching portfolio includes courses ranging from Python Programming to Operating Systems.
Mr. Chandershekhar Singh
Mr. Chandershekhar Singh has over 13 years of experience in academics and research, primarily with JIET since 2010. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in AI-based Solar Photovoltaic Systems from MBM Engineering College. He has contributed significantly to NBA and NAAC documentation and has over a decade of experience in examination conduction. He has guided M.Tech students, completed three NPTEL certifications, and published seven Scopus-indexed papers. His expertise spans AI, solar photovoltaics, renewable energy, and power systems. He is also an active member of ISTE and has organized various academic conferences and workshops.
Associate Prof. Kiran Bhoot
She is the HOD-Mentor of the Department of Civil Engineering and has a rich academic background, including a Master of Engineering degree in Geotechnical Engineering from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from L.D Engineering College, Ahmedabad. Her primary research interests include Ground Improvement Technologies, Geosynthetics, Reinforced Soil Structures, and the use of waste materials for soil stabilization. Prof. Bhoot focuses on stabilizing soil and finding sustainable solutions to improve soil quality, especially in the context of infrastructure development. As a dedicated academician and mentor, she inspires and guides students toward academic and professional success in the field of Civil Engineering.
Prof. Abhishek Dixit
Mr. Abhishek Dixit graduated from Jai Narain Vyas University (MBM Engineering College) Jodhpur, pursuing his PhD from MBM University. He is working as the Assistant Professor and the Head of Department (ME) at JIET Universe. He has more than 14 years of academic experience in providing offline and online teaching and training to students and professionals in the fields of mechanical and industrial engineering, supply chain, quality, and related domains. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma black belt professional. His key skills in the field of education include Quantitative analysis, Six Sigma, operations management, Supply chain, and consumer behavior. With knowledge in the respective field, published patents on endorsing skills map and AI-based Inventory management in Indian Patent Publication, also wrote a book with Academic Publishing House, Germany on ‘Predicting Consumer Behavior,’ published book chapters for ‘Women Entrepreneurship,’ published papers in reputed journals and attended a number of national and international conferences, STTPs of repute at National and International level which includes IIT Kanpur, SVNIT Surat, etc.
Dr Pratibha Peshwa Swami
is a Professor & Head of the Department of Technology. Dr Swami has more than 14 years of rich experience in Industry, Research, Institutional level teaching, Administration & Skill Development. She holds PhD in Remote Sensing and Geoinformatics. She worked as Programme Manager (at IIT Jodhpur) in the Jodhpur Science & Technology Cluster (an initiative of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA) to the Government of India on the recommendation of the Prime Minister’s Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council). She has worked as a Senior Research Officer in the Regional Remote Sensing Centre, ISRO, on a national project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Her areas of interest include Geospatial science, Geoinformatics, and AI Applications.
Dr. Laxmi Chaudhary
Dr. Laxmi Chaudhary is the Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at JIET Group of Institutions, Jodhpur. With over 16 years of experience, she holds a PhD in Optical Communication and an M.Tech in Digital Communication. As a core member in NBA and NAAC inspections at JIET, Dr. Laxmi has made significant contributions to the institution. A life member of the Institute of Engineers (I), she has published over 10 research papers in international journals, attended more than 30 workshops and FDPs, and completed several NPTEL certifications. Her areas of expertise include Communication Systems, Optical Communication, Digital System Design, Microprocessor/Microcontroller applications, Embedded Systems, and IoT techniques. Known for her dynamic leadership, Dr. Laxmi applies innovative teaching approaches to enhance learning outcomes and guide students towards excellence.
Lt. Anamika Choudhary
Lt. Anamika Choudhary, an accomplished academic with 15 years of experience in Computer Science and Engineering, is currently pursuing a Ph.D. and holds an M.Tech and B.E. in CSE. Her research interests lie in IoT and Big Data, with her M.Tech dissertation focused on Gesture Recognition. She has taught various subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including C, C++, DSA, Software Engineering, DBMS, ISS, AI, and IoT. With 8 journal publications and 6 conference presentations, she has actively contributed to academia. A commissioned Lieutenant in NCC, she has also earned several accolades, including first prize in a Poster Competition by the Institution of Engineers. Additionally, she has participated in and organized numerous workshops and FDPs, further enhancing her expertise in emerging technologies.
Prof. Sanjay Bhandari
Prof. Sanjay Bhandari, B.E (ECE), M.Tech (Digital Communication), Training and Placement Officer.
He has 21 years of experience with renowned education institutions in the Rajasthan region in both administration and academic domains, with strong liaison with government and private organizations. Since joining the TPO cell, he has been instrumental in providing job offers to students taking different courses at the institution and in various companies. In recent years, he has organized various career-oriented training programs and industry expert sessions for students.

Dr. Mathur has published/presented several research papers in national & international journals and conferences. He is a Life Member of the Society for Special Functions & Applications (SSFA), the Indian Mathematical Society (IMS), and the Rajasthan Ganita Parishad (RGP).
