An Open House Event

Welcome to PRAYAS 2023 - a super exciting Open House event hosted by JIET Universe! We are super happy to invite all of you, wonderful students, from schools and colleges to take part in a bunch of fun competitions.

This year's PRAYAS is all about giving a chance to creative minds and sharp thinkers like you to shine! You can show off your skills in cool contests like Logo Design, Theme-Based Presentation, Debate, and both Working and Non-Working Model competitions. And guess what? There's even an amazing Arts & Craft Exhibition to display your artistic talents!

But that's not all! If you just want to have a blast, you can join us as visitors too! There will be loads of exciting games to play, yummy food stalls to enjoy, and you can even explore our campus with a guided tour. Get ready to meet and learn from experts and talented participants just like you. And hey, it's a perfect chance to make new friends from different schools and colleges too. PRAYAS 2023 is going to be a day filled with fun, learning, and unforgettable memories! So don't miss out!

Competitions

 Logo Competition

8th August, 2023

Eligibility: The competition is opens to all Schools (VIII to XII).

The themes for the competition are

  • "Cultural Diversity": To promote the celebration of different cultures and traditions through logos that showcase diversity, inclusivity, and the richness of various heritage. (Classes 8th to 10th)

  • "Human-AI Partnership": Participants should create a logo that represents the collaboration and synergy between human minds and artificial intelligence. (Classes 11th & 12)

 Art and Craft Exhibition

8th August, 2023

Eligibility: Competition opens to all School (VIII to XII) & college undergraduate students.

Medium & Theme for the competition are :-

There are no restrictions on the medium or theme of the artwork. Students can showcase their creativity and skills in any art form, including paintings, sketches, pottery, sculptures, origami, etc. Or if you want to specify themselves for the art, then you can use the theme "future of innovation.

Project Competition

8th August, 2023

Eligibility:    

  • The competition is open to students currently enrolled from 8th and 12th grades of any school.

  • Each team can have a maximum of 3 members. Individual projects are also allowed.

The themes for the competition are

  • The competition theme is related to engineering, technology, or science.

  • Projects can cover various topics such as robotics, renewable energy, environmental solutions, simple machines, app development, etc.

  • Projects should be original, and participants should avoid plagiarizing content or ideas.

Non-Working Model Competition

8th August, 2023

Eligibility:

  • The competition is open to students currently enrolled in 8th to 12th grades of any school.

  • Each team can have a maximum of 3 members. Individual projects are also allowed.

Theme and Scope:

  • The competition theme will be related to engineering, technology, or science.

  • Participants can choose any topic within the specified theme and develop a non-working model that demonstrates theoretical concepts or designs.

Debate Competition

8th August, 2023

Eligibility: Category III, only undergraduate students are eligible for this competition.

Each speaker shall have a speaking time of 4+1 minutes where 1 minute shall be reserved for interaction with the panel of judges. Speaking beyond the long bell may attract negative marking at the discretion of the judges.

Each speaker shall be marked out of 50 marks break-up being of:

  • Content of Speech:10 Marks

  • Presentation skills: 10 Marks

  • Confidence & Fluency: 10 Marks

  • Logic & Reasoning:10 Marks

  • Rebuttal (Countering): 10 Marks

 PPT Presentation Competition

The Open House Presentation Competition is a thrilling and educational event set to take place during our annual Open House event. The competition aims to showcase the talents, ideas, and knowledge of participants while fostering a spirit of healthy competition and community engagement. It will be an excellent platform for students, enthusiasts, and professionals alike to present their ideas, research, projects, or innovations in front of a diverse audience. The basic purpose of organizing this competition is to inculcate and boost corporate communication, develop public speaking, and encourage self-learning among the students.

From 8th to 10th August, the fair and exhibition witnessed an impressive turnout, with approximately 85 schools and colleges in attendance. Notably, on the 8th of August, students from 40 of these educational institutions actively participated in various competitions.
